Victor Hugo, 1862

Date read: DID NOT FINISH

This is one of my favorite musicals, I adore the story, I just love it.

However! There is an entire book dedicated to the battle of Waterloo, which happened decades before the story. There's like 6 chapters that are an examination of the monastery system. By the time you finish all the asides and ranting, you've forgotten the story (at least, I have done). I will try to read it again but I was 39 percent in after almost a week and Jean and Cosette had only just united.
