As a former teacher, I am absolutely disgusted with Miss Jean Brodie, primed or not. But of course, having such strong feelings after reading a novel are a great indication of the writing quality, which is superb! Absolutely fabulous, I'll say, as this is a British novel.

Jean Brodie shouldn't be a teacher, and I'm glad
she does lose her teaching position at the end
. I don't want to ruin this for anyone else so I'm not going to say anymore but damn. Some people shouldn't be allowed around kids.
