Max Beerbohm, 1911

Date read: 8/24/25

What a strange story! It is meant to be satirical and that comes through. It is also funny at points. But mostly, it's just weird.

I enjoyed the 4th wall breaks (esp of a main character sitting next to the author at a dinner). It was intensely dramatic as any satire should be, and has moments of magical realism.

In all, it is just silly. But not a bad read.
