This book shouldn't have been on the list because it isn't a novel. It's a memoir. I read it anyway and it made me so sad, how little things have changed in the USA for blacks in the decades since he wrote this. They're still being shot by police, they're still paid less for the same work, etc etc.


I don't understand racism. I'm too autistic for that shit.
