This ends on a very obvious cliffhanger, and I see through looking up a photo for this post that there is a sequel I will probably read.


Novels that are poorly written have no emotional impact on the reader (besides boredom, maybe). I had literal dreams about this novel last night. A lot of them bad, unsurprisingly.


It is fantastic and also horrible and I highly recommend it. Although it is very sad. I say that about most of the good novels, don't I? I'm starting to think the way to write a "classic" is to rip out people's heart-guts.
