The House of the Spirits

Writer: Kathy MillerKathy Miller

Isabel Allende, 1985

This novel reminded me of Midnight's Children or the books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Magical realism is what it is called.

I really enjoyed this novel and how it followed several generations of a family. Like a record of generational trauma. It's very very good.
