First I want to point out the amazing graphic design on the cover of the WW Norton & Co edition of this novella.


So, GoodReads says I read this like a decade ago but I didn't remember any of it.


If pressed, I'd guess this is supposed to be about how we are all expendable and replaceable, regardless how important we believe we are to other people. Which is depressing.


Kafka was Kafka. He was an original. But this is 110 years old now so. It was amazing when it was new, I'm sure!
