William Faulkner, 1929 Date Read: DID NOT FINISH

This makes the 7th novel on the list that I did not finish. I was reading on Kindle, so I can tell you I made it 31 percent and I have no idea at all what was going on.

I gather from the interwebs that this novel was considered great because the author utilized multiple narrative techniques. The first part is from the perspective of a mentally challenged individual, and the second is a stream of consciousness.

The problem with this, is that is there no story. And it is very hard to get invested in a novel that does not have a story. It's just words and ramblings.

This is again one of those times when I feel like a novel is considered a "classic" because English professors didn't understand it and thus assumed it was "deep".

Length: read on Kindle

Rereadbility: 0 out of 10

Classic: just word salad
