Anthony Trollope, 1875

Date read: 10/3/23

I just learnt there is a miniseries of this novel and I'm kind of surprised because...it isn't very good.

Too be honest, this novel felt like a knock-off Jane Austen that was 500 pages too long.

There's too many main characters also. And the whole ending with Roger sucked and made me sad.

It is a well written, well built story but you can get the same thing from Austen for 500 less pages and less disappointment...and 100 percent less antisemitism because fucking hell this guy should have been a Nazi.
